The following officers and other Board members were elected:

Rotunda Floyd*

*We were unable to reach Margaret McLeod and Rotunda Floyd to confirm their acceptance of their nominations, but we believe that they are willing to serve.

All of the above were unopposed and voted in unanimously. Outgoing officers were thanked. A recent review of the bylaws has determined that we had more board members than allowed, so we voted unanimously to increase the number of allowed board members from 7 to 9.

We voted unanimously to change the name to Architects Row Community Association.

The Executive Director of NEDA, the Northeast Development Alliance, will be coming in March to hear stories for the Acts of Neighborliness Project. This is a program in which NEDA is collecting stories from its member neighborhoods that illustrate the expected behavior of residents (for example, maintaining the area around ones’ property) and ways in which these expectations are developed and spread. Representatives of NEDA are going around to different neighborhoods listening to these stories and then will ask people to write them up to be included in a booklet. Please think of stories and bring them to the March meeting (March 7, 2006).

Ben provided an update on the website: LiveBaltimore currently lack a person to deal with their website and is only dealing with emergency website issues, so it will probably be a while before they move our figures to the correct location, but it is on their list. It was agreed to buy a domain name. Since GoDaddy offers a discount on the domain name with purchase of hosting, Ben went ahead and bought two years’ website hosting and domain name. The name is architectsrow.org.

The next meeting will be held at Ben and McKinzie’s house (6148) on February 7, at 7:00. Current agenda items:

-Bylaw review (there are several items in the bylaws that differ from current practice)

-Historic designation update

-Website update

-Spring yard sale update and planning

-Monthly cleanups (at least during the warm months)
