Architects Row Community Association Minutes - January 20, 2007

Collecting dues: Dues of $20/household were collected from present members and others who had given their dues to a present member. If you have not paid your dues, please give them to David Cramer, 6150 Chinquapin Parkway (cash or write a check to CHWA). Dues can also be delivered to Ben or McKinzie Lefstein (6148).

The following officers and other Board members were elected:

President- Ben Lefstein

Co-Vice Presidents: Milton De Vaughn and Laurie Dickeson

Secretary: McKinzie Lefstein

Treasurer: David Cramer

Other Board members:

Rotunda Floyd

Lin Romano

Margaret McLeod

Alexandra Rymland

In the past few meetings there has been discussion about traffic calming measures for the front street such as speed bumps, reducing the speed limit, a stop sign at Chinquapin and Meridene, and/or other warning signs (e.g., curve signs). An e-mail had been sent to Ken Harris to inquire about lowering the speed limit. We received a response saying that they could either make the street one way or eliminate parking on one side of the street. It was discussed that these were not viable options. We are trying to get a member from the traffic department to attend the next meeting (or the soonest meeting possible) to further discuss our options.

The next meeting will be held at Milton’s house (6178) on February 6, at 7:30. Current agenda items:

- Traffic/speed bump update

- Spring yard sale update and planning

- Chain/no trespassing sign update

- Bylaw review (there are several items in the bylaws that differ from current practice)
