Reminders:
Monthly cleanups are held at 10:00 am on the first Saturday of the month (next cleanup: August 5 at the playground).
Monthly meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of the month (next meeting: September 5, because the August meeting is being replaced by mediation; see item 2).

1. Treasurer’s report: We received $375.75 from the yard sale, and we had paid $235.85 for the permit, so we made $139.90. Our current total is $1071.43, of which $619.47 is in checking and $451.96 in savings.
2. The chain mediation is scheduled for July 18, 7:00-9:00, at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter, 5513 York Road. *The mediation was held as scheduled, and a follow-up was scheduled for August 1 at the same time and place, replacing our regular meeting.
3. Welcome letters have been distributed to newcomers at three houses on the block. This is the first time in several years that the entire row has been occupied!
4. The July 4 potluck in the lane was a success! For the September 9 cookout, we will look into getting donations from Giant and/or Wells Liquors, but we may just go with the potluck model, which worked well.
5. Concerns about erosion along the streambed and sewage discharging into the stream were brought up. Dave O. will investigate options, starting by calling the Herring Run Watershed Association, and report back at the next meeting.
6. No-trespassing and no-dumping signs have been made and will be put up.
7. Clifford will put together a Fall newsletter. Several attendees of the meeting volunteered to contribute. Please contact him if you have an idea. The deadline for contributions is August 20.
8. Various ideas for showing off yards were discussed (perhaps online or in a newsletter). This topic will be discussed further at the next meeting.
